International pop icon Lady Gaga is now releasing an “Anniversary Edition” to mark the tenth anniversary of her legendary “Born This Way” album
The original version of “Born This Way” was released in 2011 and made its mark on subsequent pop artists from around the world. The album sold nearly two million copies within its first week and was certified 39x platinum and 7x gold globally. It also topped the album charts in all German-speaking regions, as well as in the US and UK, for several months. To mark the album’s tenth anniversary, the city of Los Angeles also recently designated May 23 as “Born This Way Day”
The new version of the album features 14 songs from the original 2011 “Born This Way” as well as 6 reinterpreted versions of songs from the album by artists representing the LGBTQIA+ community. These will be revealed in the coming weeks.
