Frodo Baggins is a Hobbit from the Shire in Middle-earth, Tolkien’s most renowned protagonist for
his main part on the Quest of the Ring, in which he took the so called “One Ring” to be destroyed
in Mount Doom in Mordor. Frodo was adopted by his uncle Bilbo and started living with him, inheriting the same ring called “One Ring” and the mission to destroy it. Best friend of gardener
Samwise Gamgee, creator of the group known as The Fellowship of the Ring that in its journey crossed the deep halls of the underground complex of Moria, facing many dangers.

After eavesdropping on Gandalf’s conversation with Frodo about the “One Ring”, the gardening
Hobbit, also known as Sam, was appointed by the wizard as Frodo’s traveling companion on his
quest to Rivendell. Extremely loyal and faithful to his best friend, he refuses to let Frodo go alone
to Mordor to destroy Sauron’s mighty ring on Mount Doom, staying with his friend throughout his
journey, protecting him, facing terrible dangers and adversity. In Minas Moria, a member of the socalled Fellowship of the Ring, a support group in Frodo’s journey to destroy The Ring and defeat
the Dark Lord, he faced the Orcs’ attack alongside the other members of the group. On a base
that resembles the petrified ground, this statue is part of a diorama scenario that replicates this
emblematic battle presented in “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring”, adapted for
cinema by Peter Jackson in 2001.

One of the cousins and one of the closest friends of Frodo Baggins, Meriadoc “Merry” Brandybuck is considered the most keen and intelligent of Hobbits. Lover of boats and ponies and nurturing great interest for Middle-earth maps, he was one of the nine allies and companions of the group known as The Fellowship of the Ring. Partner and closest friend of Pippin, he joined the formation of the Fellowship of the Ring crossing the underground territory of the Mines of Moria facing great and dangerous challenges.

Peregrin Tûk, better known as “Pippin”, is one of the youngest Hobbits from Shire, cousin and
one of the closest friends of Merry Brandybuck and Frodo Baggins. Fiery and curious, and many
times also a fool, playful and childish, but always loyal and willing to help his friends, promising to
protect Frodo with his life on his quest, beside Merry he joined the group of The Fellowship of the
Ring facing the underground dangers of the Mines of Moria on his mission.
