Skottie Young’s adorable baby variant covers for Marvel have had a strong following for years. This one appeared on Fantastic Four #1 (2013). It features a humorous image of a baby FF running away from a huge baby Galactus.
The planet-draining Galactus is a cosmic entity who consumes entire planets to sustain his life force. He usually employs a herald, a being to whom he has granted the ‘Power Cosmic’, which allows the chosen herald to hurl through space at a rapid speed. Galactus and his original herald, the noble Silver Surfer, were introduced in Fantastic Four #48, #49 and #50 in 1966. Referred to by fans as “The Galactus Trilogy”, the saga is seen by many as the greatest comic book tale ever told.
