Lady Gaga: Harlequin Red Vinyl

After the filming of “Joker: Folie à Deux” was complete, Lady Gaga realized she wasn’t quite ready to let go of the character she had meticulously researched, crafted and inhabited for so long. She began to imagine what a record from the perspective of “Harley Quinn”, also known as “Lee”, would sound like.
“Harlequin” is an album that Lady Gaga had to make. A farewell to the character, closure for “Lee”. In that sense, “Harlequin” can be seen as a counterpart to “Joker 2”, but it’s more than that – it’s Lady Gaga fully realizing an artistic vision. It’s 13 songs that fuse jazz, surf-punk, blues and classics into an album that feels at once familiar and completely new. And while fans eagerly await her return to pop, she’s still having fun pursuing her creative curiosities and bringing us “LG6.5” while the world waits for the next project, “LG7”.
