The R 18 Classic inherits a variety of timeless elements, such as the teardrop-shaped fuel tank, sleek exhaust pipes, double loop steel tube frame, and exposed driveshaft. It is powered by an 1802cc four-stroke horizontally opposed twin-cylinder boxer engine, delivering a maximum power output of 67 kW (91 hp) and a peak torque of 158 Nm.

The MT-006s 1/9 BMW R 18 Classic (Pre-colored Edition) in Storm Black Metallic features an outstanding pre-painted finish. Its iconic teardrop-shaped fuel tank, boxer engine, and sleek exhaust pipes all showcase a highly realistic texture and craftsmanship.
The twin-cylinder boxer engine subassembly is composed of both painted and electroplated parts, delivering an exceptional metallic finish. The emblems on both sides of the engine are recreated with metal photo-etched pieces, providing a realistic texture.
The classic round instrument panel is presented using an electroplated part combined with a finely detailed decal. The rearview mirrors are replicated with reflective mirror foil, offering a realistic reflection effect.
