Lord of the Rings Bust Balrog Cinta Edition
By Queen Studios
The Balrog is an evil fiery beast with a menacing humanoid shaped body. But before they were the Balrog, they were Maiar, spirits that helped Valar create the world. Although they were once a force for good, they became evil after being seduced by Melkor, the first Dark Lord of Eä. We were first introduced to the character when the Fellowship of the Ring took to pass below the Misty Mountains. As they attempted to advance, they caught the attention of the fallen Wizard Saruman. Silence alone could not grant this band of heroes safe passage, for Saruman has alerted a dreadful Balrog. Gandalf knew their escape would come at a mighty price, and he would not pass through the Dwarf realm’s doors.
Inspired by Durin’s Bane from Peter Jackson’s cinematic adaptation from Lord Of The Rings: Fellowship Of The Ring (2001). This limited edition collectible bust by Queen Studios captures the Balrog as we saw him on the big screen. The Queen Studios team has studied the Balrog closely, expertly capturing the hellish monster’s fiery eyes, demonic horns and vicious fangs. Available in two editions, the Cinta Edition is a scaled down representation of Jackson’s beast that first appeared in the incredible literary works of J.R.R. Tolkien.
SPECIAL FEATURES:
As this character is beast, Queen Studios’ artists have decided to present it as such. Its evil essence drips onto the base which is inspired by the architecture of the dwarf realm beneath the Misty Mountains. The scaled down bust also includes internal lighting in its eyes, mouth and surrounding flames making it a warm but sinister edition to every enthusiast’s collection.
