As the only member of the Fellowship powerful enough to stop the creature, Gandalf wields both his Wizard staff and the gleaming white sword Glamdring against it. The flames roaring and bright light radiating around the pair remind us that there can only be one victor in this battle on the Bridge of Khazad-dûm.
