The Smile: A Light For Attracting Attention
2 LPs – Gatefold Cover – Label: XL 2021
“A Light For Attracting Attention” is the debut album from The Smile – made up of Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead and Tom Skinner of Sons of Kemet.
The name of The Smile comes from a poem by Ted Hughes. Greenwood told NME, “The Smile was born out of a desire to work on music with Thom in Lockdown. We didn’t have a lot of time, but we just wanted to get some songs done together. It was quite a stop-start, but it was a happy way to make music.”
